Ezyan & Ikram - Garden Reception
|
|
| Quote: | My old friend of mine, Neqyan, finally, got married with her high school crush, Aleq. Neqyan + Aleq = one combination of names which was quite synonym in our batch. It began with an affair between Johor Bahru and Kuala Kangsar, then they got separated, antara benua, between UK and US. And now, together, for good. What a grand finale, Neq! Though tak dapat attend their wedding, which I heard (and read) was a fab one, I'm very happy for you. On the day itself, she was amazingly beautiful, berseri-seri sungguh. Seri raja sehari. It was a casual garden wedding, with huge bunches of STF crowds. Seperti biasa, kecoh dan bising. Hah, it just reminisced all those funny memories in Desa Tun. She is a very characteristic person, selamba, cute, and among the prettiest girls, I'd say. I still could remember the way how she walked that I couldn't never pace up with, her contagious laughs that brought smiles to everyone, her cute voice that used to shout out Blok C turun practise sports!, the one yang selalu tido dalam kelas mase prep and so many of her stories. Her flair towards 'lil cutey stuffs is a legend. From her school stationeries, hair bands, shoes, etc. Even her lovely wedding invitation card, it was her own idea. These pictures which I took (illegally) from Yahoo Groups were quite saying it all about this bright lady - many thanks to the original photographers, if you're accidentally reading this post . Neq, my wish for both of you and Aleq - Semoga bahagia selamanya - Nurul Asykin

an old friend, ex-formmate, ex-hockeymate from STF Izyan Ezyan Atiqah for her beautiful garden wedding to her highschool sweetheart Ikram Iskandar (kalau nama STF dengan MCKK; 'Neqyan' dan 'Aleq'). Never have I seen a bride so selamba, laughing louder than us guests, tak main pakai inai segala. You rock babe (cuma kena tolak 10 mata coolness sebab terlepas ada lagu Bumiputra Rockers at your wedding)!! (Guys, I'm sorry I cried. It was just too beautiful..) - Ninie

Last Saturday (18.3.2006), we the srikandis 959 telah bikin havoc di wedding Ezyan Atiqah, or better known to us as NENEQ.
it was the most perfect wedding ive ever been to. with the very loud frens with the mini re-union. imagine, to meet some frens after 6 years tak jumpa, to have some yang baru balik dari India, German, etc.. even the bride pun balik dari UK. sangat best, esp wen MY srikandi spirit is totally IN, with the futsal get together and all those. neneq sgt beruntung since dia kawen kebetulan masa kami semua tgh semangat srikandi berlebih-lebihan. so, ramai la srikandi yang datang. yeay. To add to the point, the wedding itself was so sempoi. bride yg sangat tak kontrol. gelak besar tak ingat masa tgh makan beradab. budus la neneq. dah la langsung tak pakai inai. best giller.
But, on top of all, we were celebrating this lovely couple's amazing love. they have been together for 10 years!! started with one in MCKK, one in STF. then, one in UK while one in USA. giller!!
To Neneq dan Aleq,
Semoga kekal ke anak cucu.
and, yes. your wedding was a depressing one.
sangat indah dan sangat membuatkan kami tak sabar, ok!!

Ezyan & Ikram
|
|
Hi everyone!
The write-up for this entry will be posted soon. In the mean time, let me just say what a wonderful wedding it was to photograph...not only due to the fact that Ezyan & Ikram make such a lovely couple, and the setting was beautiful too but most of all the GREAT hospitality by the whole family especially by Pn. Siti Rahmah, Ezyan's mom who really did a wonderful job of organising her daughter's wedding

Hi & Salam everyone!
This Nikah between Nani & Elyas happened on a lovely afternoon at Nani's house in Bangsar. The first time I met Nani & Elyas i knew that photographing them would be fun and relaxed as they were clearly deeply in love! And when you love somebody lots you don't need someone to tell you to look smile & happy in a photograph.... chances are you'll be smiling so much without noticing!
Uncle Abd. Rahman & Auntie Asmah, thanks for the friendly hospitality and of course the nasi pulut & mee (tak tahu mee apa, mcm me udang je..apa-apa pun, mmg sedap!).
Nani & Elyas, congrats and may you be super happy in each other's presence

In relation to this event, I feel moved to write about about how most of us go through life without being aware of God's mercy and blessings that he has bestowed on us. Only when we see those less fortunate do we realise how much we have. Even then some are not thankful and complain when something bad happens. One of the reasons for this is due to 'Displeasure with the Divine Decree'. I will share something from the book 'Purification of the Heart' by Hamza Yusuf.
Excerpts from the Chapter entitled 'Displeasure with the Divine Decree' :
---
We have heard many times a person bemoan, "I do not deserve this!" or 'Why me?" or similar declarations. Many people live with rancor in their hearts because of what they have dealt with in life. This attitude toward trials stem from a denial of God's omnipotence and that God alone decrees all things. We cannot choose what befalls us, but we can choose our responses to the trials of life, which are inevitable. His decree is but a command from Him: "'Be' and it is!" as repeated in the Qur'an. Imam abu Hasan said that there is a quality in people that most are unaware of, yet it consumes good deeds- displeasure with God's Divine Decree (Qadar).
God concious people, when asked about what their Lord has given them, say that all of it is good. They say this out of knowledge of the nature of this world, as a temporary crucible of trial and purification. Because of this elevated understanding, they are patient with afflictions and trials. For wordly people, there is only this world, and this understanding creates a blind spot to the wondrousness of God's creation and the signs strewn throughout.
.... Imam al-Qarafi gives the example of a physician who amputates the arm of a patient who has gangrene spreading out of control. One day, the physician overhears the patient complaining that the physician was ignorant for amputating his arm. The physician is offended, for he saved the man's life. Had the physician heard the patient praising him - despite the fact that he lost an arm and is discomforted by pain - the physician would feel compassion for the man. So if one speaks about God's decree, saying, "God is testing me, but it is His will and there is wisdom in it," this differs greatly from the remarks of one who complains about the percieved injustices in the world.
